Tumwater's 2nd Avenue to undergo roadwork Friday to Saturday

 Tumwater's 2nd Avenue southbound lanes between Desoto Street SW and Custer Way SW will be reduced to a single lane from Friday, July 22, 10 p.m. to Saturday, July 23, 5 a.m. for roadwork.

According to the city, crews will install pavement markings on the road's left turn lane, with the traffic signal being modified afterwards.

"This work changes the intersection so that the outside lane of southbound 2nd Avenue SW will provide for both through traffic and left turns onto eastbound Custer Way," the city's press release added.

Motorists are advised to follow instructions given by onsite traffic control and flaggers, and to slow down when passing the area.
