Washington Street to close twice for Lula Fest

Posted

A section of Washington Street and nearby parking lot will be closed for portions of this Friday and Saturday to help celebrate the upcoming Lula Fest event.

Downtown parking lot and street closures

  • On Friday, September 22, from 5 to 7 a.m., the city-owned parking lot  at the corner of State Avenue and Washington Street will be temporarily closed for cleaning and maintenance to ensure the area is in top-notch condition for Lula Fest.
  • On Saturday, September 23, from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m., a portion of Washington Street, specifically between State Avenue and 4th Avenue, will be temporarily closed to make way for Lula Fest. The city-owned parking lot at this location will also be closed during the festival.

Also note that the alley entrances to Washington Street from Capital Way and Franklin Street will be closed during these times.

Plan your trip ahead of time if you want to attend Lula Fest or need to access the downtown area during these closures.

You can find information about alternate parking options in the parking resource page or visit Intercity Transit to check offers for no-fee bus options.
