There are a number of events happening this weekend in Thurston County, including the 23rd annual Capital City Jazz Band Festival in Olympia. 

Animal Dreams (OLYMPIA)
Weekend, Nov. 21-Jan. 11, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
The Childhood's End Gallery presents "Animal Dreams," a solo exhibition of Olympia artist Kristen Etmund. Known for her work bridging the precision of traditional relief printmaking with the organic textures of nature, Kristen draws her inspiration from the flora, fauna and shifting atmospheres of the Puget Sound region.

Lavender Farm holiday shopping events (OLYMPIA)
Friday-Saturday, Nov. 21-22, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
The Gift Shoppe will be full of fresh, new lavender-based products for you to get as gifts for your friends, family, coworkers or yourself.

Absolutely Free Sharing Market (LACEY)
Saturday, Nov. 22, 12-5 p.m.
The event is like a clothing swap, but for everything and everyone. Books, tools, home decor, toys, etc. In addition to the items, there will be live music, cute goats in sweaters, a cookie swap, skill shares like soap making, hot dogs and more.

2nd annual Madison Holiday Auction (OLYMPIA)
Saturday, Nov. 22, 3-6 p.m.
Come enjoy and drink, have a snack and do some holiday shopping during the silent auction. This fundraiser helps the Parent Teacher Organization support the school community by offering teacher grants, science fair, movies and other fun community events.

Guest Chef Night - Featuring Chef Elise Landry (TUMWATER)        
Saturday, Nov. 22, 5:30-8 p.m.
Join a soulful evening of culture, flavor and connection as Chef Elise Landry — owner of Chicory Restaurant in Olympia — takes over ASHHO’s kitchen for an extraordinary five-course cultural dinner. Chef Elise draws inspiration from her Cajun heritage and global culinary travels.

23rd annual Capital City Jazz Band Festival (OLYMPIA)
Saturday, Nov. 22
In 2001, the Olympia Rotary Club wanted to sponsor an international water project in Africa. From this emerged the first Cool Jazz Clean Water Event at The Evergreen State College. The event was changed to share the proceeds with several community causes — the purchase of band instruments for school districts to loan to low-income student and for a youth summit.

Capital City Pride's 3rd annual Queersgiving (OLYMPIA)
Sunday, Nov. 23, 6:30-9:30 p.m.
Celebrate the season with Capital City Pride at the 3rd annual Queersgiving, a warm and welcoming gathering designed to bring the community together. Settle into a cozy space, wrap up in your favorite blanket and enjoy a lineup of LGBTQIA2S+ holigay films as we relax and connect with one another.
