The first weekend in April offers a chance to visit with a kid-friendly hobbyist and take part in some fundraising activities in Thurston County.

$1 Museum Admission (OLYMPIA)
-Friday, April 4, 4-8 p.m.
Get a $1 admission to the Hands On Children's Museum. Enjoy exhibits, activities, and guests from 4–8 p.m. Step into the magical world of Frog Hollow, create nature journals with Timberland Regional, join the free book giveaway with South Sound Reading, and discover the science table with Child Care Action Council (5-7 p.m.)

Roundup Stamp and Coin Show (LACEY)
-Saturday, April 5, 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m.
Enjoy free stamps for kids, stamp and postal history exhibits, and Northwest stamp and coin dealers. If you have come into a collection and want to know more about it, one of the members will assist to give an idea of its possible worth.

Sojourn at the Oasis (OLYMPIA)
-Saturday, April 5, from 10 a.m.
Join this benefit by Mas Uda Dancers for the Feisty Felines Cat Rescue. Expect many vendors selling dance goods, crafts, baked goods, and more. There will also be dance workshops.

Mosaic Snail Plant Stakes (OLYMPIA)
-Saturday, April 5, 12:30-2:30 p.m.
Join a relaxing all-ages afternoon of crafting. Light refreshments will be provided and all supplies are included. There is free and easy parking available.

Benefit for EGYHOP: Comedy Show and Wordplay Competition (OLYMPIA)
-Saturday, April 5, 7-8:30 p.m.
Dive into a world of puns, acronyms, and idioms as contestants battle it out to win items the organizer is purging from their house. You get two shows in one at this event. In addition to Fun Intended Pun Slam, there will be a sneak peek of "Fast Friends," a show where friendships are made or destroyed.

Harlequin’s Artistic Director’s Brunch (OLYMPIA)
-Sunday, April 6, 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
Do you have a question you’ve been dying to ask about costumes, lighting or music? The Artistic Director’s Brunch is your opportunity to meet, greet, and speak to some of Harlequin’s artists about their process while enjoying a fabulous Champagne brunch.
